Carol Schram: Canucks stay subdued at deadline, acquire Travis Dermott & Brad Richardson Though the Vancouver Canucks were subject to plenty of trade speculation, their deadline was relatively quiet. The club dealt away Travis Hamonic and Tyler Motte while trading for Travis Dermott and picking up Brad Richardson on waivers.

Well done Carol!!

Thread was at 1817 posts when you posted the new thread. 1-8-1-7 sounds like a damn fine pick 4 for Gulfstream Park this weekend!!

The 4 game road trip is much needed. Team seems to get pretty slack in the ol' country club home games on that 7 game stand which basically cost us the PO's at 2-3-2

So hoping for some positive play on this road trip and some good first period starts.

Thanks Carol, hopefully you didn’t actually read any of those 47 pages.

Big night on the out of town scoreboard tonight!

The Brad Richardson claim was a bit odd unless Richardinson is going to be out long term. Lammikko has done a good job as a C, so bumping him to the wing, instead of calling up a winger is odd. Is Abbotsford experiencing injuries too? Maybe they need to keep it together on the farm?

Thanks Carol, I will miss Motte, I always thought he was brave for sharing his story of mental illness and doing the charity work that he did as a result.

If his ask was too high, I suppose it's not a write off that he could come back, his price may come down in the summer.

Hamonic on the other hand, all reports say the entire locker room is glad he's gone

I mean I guess, but does he? I thought that’s why they signed guys like Bailey and diGuiseppe.

They still have an outside shot at making the playoffs, maybe they think his experience gives them a better shot? Who knows?

Thanks Carol! Best of luck to Motte, he is a good kid and a hard worker. They better have a plan to ship out Boeser as it’s pretty foolish to let him go for nothing

Trading Harmonic is a win. I'm not a huge fan of the Dermott acquisition but I'll see how it goes before being too down on it. He's young and Dmen don't often shine until they mature a bit.

What if they convert Dermott to a F and make it the Der-Motto line

Habs now have 14 picks and the Kraken have 12 picks in this draft. 2 teams drafting 11.6 % of the picks.
If nothing else, those 2 teams are adding a boatload of prospects to the prospect pools.

Is that when a male wears spandex and it hangs to the left?

Vantel thought it was a stupid trade . Vantel said it was a Benning like trade that the Twits and dumbasses in here have complained about for years. Trading off assets or high draft picks and cap space for players that have no impact . That is actually what happened.

Vantel also said nothing much would happen and expected very little movement unlike the idiot Marwood and his lack of hockey knowledge and his crew trying to sell off Petey Hughes Miller Boeser Garland Myers and everyone else.

You even had the sheriff of this thread thinking that they should move their best player JTM.
Vantel never expected this to be a dissolved new look team at all . Vantel even said add to the roster not blow it up like the other twits.

Now you have the real story . Feel free to look back to get the facts right.

It was a good trade for sure. That is where it should have stopped.

I agree, anytime you get a chance to grab a former Flame you jump at it. Excellent move by the Alvin gang.

Still have an extra pick, a 4th rounder from the Motte trade. Jack Rathbone was a 4th round pick - wasn’t he?
